German choir sings Kim Wilde's 'Hope'

Date

Christmas is upon us, and the season brings an unexpected surprises from Germany this year. The local choir Gospel Friends covers Kim Wilde's 'Hope'!

Gospelfriends are performing live at the Evangelischen Kirche in Wervelinghoven, a village near Mönchengladbach and Dusseldorf on December 13. Starting at 6pm, they will be singing classical melodies and German songs by Detlef Jöcker, Rolf Zuckowski and the Bläck Fööss as well as songs like 'A spaceman came travelling' by Chris de Burgh and Kim Wilde's 'Hope'. As far as we know, this is the first time that Kim's Christmas song, released last year, is covered.

After the concert, visitors can enjoy the evening in Pastor Dehnert Haus with mulled wine, pastries and a good old chat. Any Kim Wilde fans who want to come see the concert? Wilde Life is very curious to hear this cover version...
