Good news for Kim Wilde fans: a new track has surfaced recently featuring Kim Wilde on vocals. It's a duet with Chico & the Gypsies on their new album.
Chico Bouchikhi was one of the founders of the famous Gipsy Kings. After he left that band after musical difficulties, he formed his new band Chico & the Gypsies twenty years ago. Since then, the band has had lots of success, primarily in France and the French-speaking part of Belgium.
Their new album 'Bamboleo: the greatest gipsy hits of all time' is aimed at the German market and features duets with various artists such as DJ Ötzi, Matthias Reim, Nana Mouskouri, Charles Aznavour and indeed Kim Wilde. Together with Kim, they perform a Spanish/English version of Sting's 'Shape of my heart', entitled 'Las cartas'. The track is already available as a digital download via Amazon, iTunes and Spotify, and the CD version will be available via Amazon from June 17.
