Fans of the band Lawnmower Deth are in a bid to get the band's cover version of 'Kids in America' to number 1 in the UK this Christmas. And if you're in the UK, you can help!
Lawnmower Deth recorded their cover version of 'Kids in America' in 1991. Chances are that many Kim Wilde fans have already heard this version a few times between then and now. But still, downloading the track this week will help serve two goals: this classic Wilde track will finally get to number one in the UK, plus all proceeds from this are going to the Sophie Lancaster Foundation, a foundation that strives to stamp out prejudice, hatred and intolerance. If this isn't a good way to celebrate this year's Christmas, we don't know what is.
So Wilde Life calls on all Kim Wilde fans in the UK to download Lawnmower Deth's 'Kids in America' for 79p on iTunes and for 99p on Google Play or Amazon (you can settle for the track, but buy the whole album if you fancy of course). Buy as much copies as you can. Call on your friends, family, your local community, anyone. But do it before December 25. If the song does make it to number one, Kim has promised that she will perform with the band in the new year. Now that should be an interesting sight... Get in now!
