Kim Wilde has spent today at RAK Studios in London, recording new music for a re-release of her 2013 album 'Wilde Winter Songbook'.
Fans were surprised this morning by a tweet from Kim, saying she was at RAK Studios.
More Christmas coming your way plus DVD of all the Christmas videos. Recording vocals today @RAK_Studios . Happy— Kim Wilde (@kimwilde) August 6, 2015
The news was not a complete surprise as Kim hinted there would be exciting Christmas news on her Twitter profile and had hinted at a re-release of 'Wilde Winter Songbook' last week:
@HogarthDean this is incorrect, Wilde Winter songbook is being re released with bonus tracks— Kim Wilde (@kimwilde) July 27, 2015
The expanded release is going to include all twelve videos that were made last year - one for every track of the album - plus some new tracks. One track which is likely to be included is Kim's take on the traditional Christmas Carol, Deck the halls, which was performed as a new song during her Christmas concerts at Knebworth House last December.
Kim was not alone at RAK today: her brother Rick and sound wizard Sean Vincent were also there:

There is no news on the release date of the 'Wilde Winter Songbook' expanded edition, but fans are likely to expect it some time in November. Meanwhile, Kim is also working on an album of completely new material, which is scheduled for 2016.
