Nude self portrait by Kim Wilde on auction

The Wilde Winter Ball 2015 is happening in just under three weeks from now, and more auction prizes are being added. A stunning item was added today by Kim Wilde: a nude self portrait from 1990.

Last month, we already announced that Rick and his wife Mandy are organizing the Wilde Winter Ball, featuring an auction with prizes that are relevant for Wilde fans. The most recent addition is a nude self portrait, painted by Kim in 1990. She unveiled the portrait today. She commented: 'I called this piece ‘Sunburn’ and was inspired to do it after reading an amazing book about Frida Kahlo. It was painted in 1990 when I was aged 30, and I hope that this nude self-portrait will raise a lot of money for this year's ‘Wilde Winter Ball’ so that the Hertfordshire Breast Cancer Unit can continue to do its incredible and much needed work’.

You can already start bidding on the portrait on the website of the Wilde Cancer Foundation, on the silent auction page. The portrait is expected to raise a large amount for the Breast Unit at the QE2 in Welwyn Garden City, and the Plastic Surgery Unit at Lister Hospital in Stevenage.
