Out now: new single ‘Trail of Destruction’!

Cherry Red released Kim Wilde’s brand new single ‘Trail of Destruction’ on 23 August. The album Closer, from which this new song is taken, is due out in early 2025.

According to Kim, the album is inspired by the hit album Close from 1988, and ‘Trail of Destruction’ is connected to one of the songs on that album, ‘Stone’. “I wanted a connection to Stone from my ‘Close’ album in 1988 as well as referencing Jack Black’s 60’s referencing “Sticking it to the man” speech from ‘School Of Rock’. ‘Stone’ was a protest about the “man” taking ownership of our planet and not keeping their promises to stop messing it up. ‘Trail Of Destruction’ is a protest for a new generation.”

You can listen to ‘Trail of Destruction’ on streaming services like Apple Music and Spotify.
A limited edition 7” single is available on the Cherry Red website.
