Cherry Red Records releases a new 4 cd compilation 'Marty: A lifetime in music 1957-2019' in June, featuring many previously unreleased tracks. Kim also makes an appearance on a live version of 'The price of love', taken from the Albert Lee 70th birthday celebration concert.
The box set starts with a compilation of all of Marty's single A and B-sides from 1957 to 1964. It includes the tracks recorded as The Wilde Three (together with his wife Joyce and a young Justin Hayward) and ten goes on with a live performance from 1959 on Radio Luxembourg. Disc 3 also includes later single releases 'Caterpillar' (as Cold Fly), 'All night girl', 'I love you' and 'Sea of heartbreak'. Disc 4 is perhaps the most exciting one, because it contains 32 previously unheard demo recordings handpicked from Marty’s own archive. With 132 tracks, of which 55 were previously unreleased, this is a great release for any Marty Wilde fan - and certainly Kim Wilde fans too.
