Boy George is really teasing us with his ‘Cool Karaoke’ project. He leaked part of his duet with Kim Wilde in November last year, while the album was released on YouTube in January. And now a teaser video for ‘Name and Number’ has been posted on YouTube last Monday. The video seems to be put together from existing video material, but also features newly recorded video of George and Kim lipsynching lines of the song. The definite ‘Eighties’ vibe of the track is underscored by the video, with shots of Michael Jackson, a Rubik’s cube and a Versace ad, to mention just a few things.
The album Cool Karaoke Volume 1 has been quietly released on digital platforms (Amazon and Apple Music, for instance) last May. Let’s hope there will be some physical release as well!
