The first music video for MCA Records, “The second time” was certainly a striking one, that much is agreed upon. However, Kim herself does not look back on this one with warm feelings.
A few different scenes fight for your attention in this clip. In one of them, Kim arrives at the room of a “cheap motel”, which starts to fall apart when something (or is it someone?) starts to tear down the walls. Kim looks appropriately terrified as she’s trying to keep the appearing holes closed, while singing the lines of her song.
A different setting involves Kim (who now wears hair extensions from hell, as one fan put it) fighting with an unidentifyable man who looks like a mummy.
And a third setting shows Kim dancing in front of four futuristically dressed men.
