Kim Wilde’s first records were written and produced by her father and brother, Marty and Ricky. The three of them have had a great influence on the music world, as this regular series ‘Wilde World’ shows.
The song I am an astronaut has been covered several times since its release, and as this series has already shown, the covers started coming pretty quickly. In 1985, Linus Wahlgren had a go, but little did this boy know that another member of the family would record a version of this Marty Wilde-penned track two decades later.
Benjamin Wahlgren is Linus’ nephew. He was born on September 14, 1997. When he was just nine years old, he released ‘Jag är en astronaut’, a Swedish version of ‘I am an astronaut’.
