Wilde World: Cold fly

Kim Wilde’s first records were written and produced by her father and brother, Marty and Ricky. The three of them have had a great influence on the music world, as this regular series ‘Wilde World’ shows.

‘Caterpillar’ was released on February 23, 1973 on the Bus Stop label. There’s really not much to tell about this song, except that it was written by Marty Wilde. The B-side, ‘Yesterday started for Judy’ was written by Marty Wilde and Pete Shelley.

The identity of ‘Cold fly’ was not disclosed, but it sounds like Pete Shelley was responsible for the vocals. Listen for yourself below…
