Kim Wilde’s first records were written and produced by her father and brother, Marty and Ricky. The three of them have had a great influence on the music world, as this regular series ‘Wilde World’ shows.
Some records remain a mystery. This week’s edition of Wilde World features a great version of the Marty Wilde & Ronnie Scott song ‘I still believe in tomorrow’, as performed by Joannie Armstrong. It was released as a single on the Diamond Records label in the USA – except it was not really released. The only existing version is a promotional copy.
And who is Joannie Armstrong? We could not find out. For all we know, she never released any other song than the two on this vinyl single. You can listen to ‘I still believe in tomorrow’ here.
