Wilde World: Papernut Cambridge

Kim Wilde’s first records were written and produced by her father and brother, Marty and Ricky. The three of them have had a great influence on the music world, as this regular series ‘Wilde World’ shows.

Many recordings in this series of blogs have been from the last century, so it’s nice to bring in something that’s really fresh, recorded just last year. Papernut Cambridge recorded a version of ‘Jesamine’ on their album ‘Nutlets 1967-80’, released in June 2015.

The band was brought together by former Death in Vegas and Thrashing Doves guitarist Ian Button, assembling a group of friends and collaborators. The album is available as an LP + CD set, with mixes varying slightly between the two formats.
