Kim Wilde’s first records were written and produced by her father and brother, Marty and Ricky. The three of them have had a great influence on the music world, as this regular series ‘Wilde World’ shows.
The Space Girls – not to be confused with the Spice Girls! – are a girl group consisting of three members: Venus, Moon and Mercury. They have released four songs so far, with music videos on YouTube. One of their songs is a cover version of the Middle Of The Road hit ‘Soley Soley’, and another is a cover version of Ricky Wilde’s ‘I am an astronaut’.
That song was of course written by Marty Wilde, and also performed by Anne Mette Torp, Linus Wahlgren, Benjamin Wahlgren and an uncredited singer. Those versions were released on record and/or CD; this version is available digitally on Google Play, iTunes and Spotify only.
